Individual Therapy

Session frequency and location depends on the nature and severity of the presenting problem. Sessions most commonly take place in the office or via telehealth for 50 minutes once per week. However, clients can be seen several times per week, weekly, biweekly, monthly, or as needed. Exposure therapy sessions sometimes take place outside of the office, in an environment relevant to the presenting problem. Session frequency and alternative settings will be discussed in more detail during the first appointment.

SPACE Program (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions)

The SPACE program is a parent-based treatment for children with OCD and/or anxiety who are unwilling or unmotivated to participate in treatment. Learn more about SPACE.

Insomnia Treatment Program
The insomnia treatment program is a structured 6 session individualized treatment protocol. After the initial diagnostic evaluation, which lasts up to 1 hour, the remaining 5 sessions last 30-45 minutes.

Diagnostic Evaluation: $200

50 Minute Session: $175

30 Minute Session: $135

TO PAY FOR TREATMENT

Sessions that are longer than 50 minutes are prorated accordingly. I accept cash and checks. Credit cards are accepted as an alternate payment with processing fee of 2.75%.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the shortage of professionals with expertise in the evidence-based treatment of OCD, Severe Anxiety, Emetophobia, and behavioral sleep medicine, you may be able to petition your insurance company to reimburse you for out of network services. Click below for more information.

My services are private pay only. I am not in-network with any insurance company, including Medicaid and Medicare. Payment is required at the time of service. I do not contract directly with insurance companies, but do provide patients with a superbill that can be submitted to insurance companies for possible reimbursement. Whether or not you receive reimbursement will depend on your specific insurance plan. It is important to understand that you are entering into a private contract with Lauren Pellizzi, which may be outside the parameters of your insurance plan. Please call your insurance provider to inquire about reimbursement for out-of-network counseling services.

If you would like to investigate the possibility of reimbursement for out-of-network coverage, please check your policy carefully and ask your provider the following questions:

Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per calendar year does my insurance plan cover?
How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network mental health provider?
How do I obtain reimbursement for therapy with an out-of-network provider?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session (CPT codes 90701, 90837, 90834, 90832)?
Is prior authorization required for routine outpatient services?

When an appointment is made, time is set aside specifically for you. When an appointment is missed without notice, another client who needed to be seen may have been unable to do so because that time slot was already filled. If you do not show up for a scheduled appointment, or if you cancel less than 24 hours before the appointment time, you will be charged a $75 cancellation fee. Insurance companies will not reimburse for the cost of a missed session.
